Background:
These vintage Alphabet prints are from a mid-1930s British reader to
teach children their ABCs. The scenes portray exterior and interior views of trains,
equipment, specialty trains, activities in the station and personnel you would meet during
a railroad journey.
The prints are notable for both their rich
coloring, and evoking nostalgia on how it was to travel by train over 70 years ago.
