Welcome ... to the Prints with a Past Web site.

The company was founded in 1997 in Valleyford, Washington. It grew out of the founder's hobby over the past 20 years of collecting and framing original prints from the 1700s through the 1940s.  Today we have clients throughout the United States, Canada, and other locations overseas.

All of our original prints are acquired through a network of international antiquarian print and book dealers.  We take great pride in the quality and diversity of the prints we feature on our Web site, and the service provided to you - our valued customer.

A print makes an attractive addition to your home or office, or as a gift that will be treasured for many years by family, friends or business associates.

Thank you for spending part of your day with us!

We have received numerous questions about Prints with a Past that we'd like to share with you:

Are your print originals?
Most of our prints are originals dating from the early 1700s through early 1900s.   Each print is accompanied by background details including the year it was produced, country of origin, and type of print making technique it represents.

We do have some reproductions (only in our English cigarette cards), and they are noted as such.

How are your prints sold?
You can purchase either the print by itself, have the print matted, or matted and framed.  Click here to learn more about our Matting and Framing styles.

How many copies of a print do you have?
As most of the prints are originals, we usually have only one in our collection.   When it is sold, we have no other copies available.  Sold prints are marked as such on the Web site.

How long does it take to fill an order?
Most orders can be filled within a week of receiving your request.  Some orders may require more time, particularly those that require framing.  If you need your order shipped by a specific date (e.g. for a gift), let us know.

How frequently is your Web site updated?
We try to update our site every 4 to 6 weeks with over 100 new prints.   Click here to receive notification by Email when we have placed new prints online.
