Background:

These prints are from an early 1920s guide to varieties of Apples grown in Germany titled "Our Best Fruit". Like the other German fruit prints featured on our Web site, this series demonstrates the high quality of German chromolithography as shown by the rich colors and realism of the Apples that are portrayed.

Each print is provided with a copy of the accompanying text (in German) describing the variety of Apple, and notes on how the fruit tress should be maintained in the orchard.
