Background:
These steel engravings are from the Second Edition of the British Angler's Manual,
original published in 1839. Regarded as one of the leading angling references, the
Manual provided instructions on fishing trolling and angling for trout.
Many of the engravings portray fishing scenes
along some of the principal rivers, lakes and trout streams in England, Scotland, Wales
and Ireland.
