Background:
These prints are from a mid-1930s British primer which used Trains to teach children
reading. The scenes portray exterior and interior views of Trains, equipment,
specialty trains, activities in the station and personnel you would meet during the
journey.
The prints are notable for both their rich
coloring, and evoking nostalgia on how it was to travel by Train over 70 years ago.
