Poultry Prints - Lewis Wright (1897)
These prints are from a series authored by Lewis Wright on the "Management of Poultry whether for domestic use, the markets or exhibition". Wright is best known for his other work in this field The Illustrated Book of Poultry. J. W. Ludlow was the illustrator for both. Wright's objective for this series was to
"put into the hands of a person totally ignorant of poultry keeping, with the
reasonable certainty that its instructions, if followed, would command success". |
